Our little Kaylee celebrated her 5th birthday last week. On Saturday we celebrated with a party at the karate school that Kaylee and Josh attend. It was Kaylee’s Kickin Karate Birthday Party!!
Denny Strecker not only runs a fantastic karate program he MC’s an awesome kids party that is as much fun for the kids as it is for the adults who attend. Denny kept the kids busy and moving for almost two hours, the kids laughter from the mats was infectious. The adults had just as much fun as the kids and I was happily amazed at how much the grown ups found their inner child and joined in on the fun.
Watching the kids play dodge ball against the adults was fun especially when Denny increased the kids odds by moving the boundary line. A twist on Red Light – Green Light, the Red Belt – Green Belt game is always fun to watch especially when Denny tries to get the kids to laugh, giggle and lose their focus so he can send them back to start.
The kids all enjoyed pizza while the adults shared a huge sub. The birthday cake was delicious, it was made by Cindy’s (Josh and Kaylee’s mom) finance’s mom and it was very tasty and moist. Although the cake was a chocolate – vanilla marble we kept thinking we could taste cherry.
The party was fun for everyone and of course the best part was watching Kaylee cut her cake with a real samurai sword!!!
Here are some photo’s of our fun-filled Saturday afternoon.
