Saturday Morning Twist

 Saturday Morning Twist

By: Nancy Rezich

Saturday mornings have taken a twist

it was always a day I didn’t want anyone to miss

So early to rise I would insist

a beautiful sunrise just couldn’t be missed

But now our week is filled with work

duties and chores always come first

Saturday mornings have taken a twist

I like the quiet while everyone rests

Grandchildren are sleeping

Papa is too

I now love my Saturday morning

 with nothing to do

This poem was written by and is the exclusive work and property of N. Rezich
