Hello family, friends and fellow bloggers, hope everyone had as great of a Memorial Day weekend as we did! We celebrated with family and a lot of food and sunshine, now it’s time to get back into the routine of everyday work, chores, responsibilities.
I am finding it especially difficult because I had Walt home with me for the whole week and we had a great time together doing things around the house, trying new grilling recipes every night, grilling for mom and dad, sitting on the patio till late into the evening and topping the weekend off with family and a ton of food. It was a pretty awesome week and weekend and although grateful Walt has a job, I am a little sad that our time together went by so quickly. He has another week off in July, only 5 weeks away, maybe if I don’t land a job by then we’ll do it all over again.
My biggest regret about the weekend was not getting pictures of Walt’s ribs!! Actually not getting pictures of any of the food, I was caught up in making sure everything was out and everyone had what they needed. The ribs were delicious, just ask my son-in-law Eric, he loved them!! Everyone was just ready to eat Walt’s bbq burgers, dogs and ribs, the camera and food photo’s completely forgotten! Summer is just the beginning and there is a lot of grilling yet to come, Father’s Day is only a few short weeks away.
I may not have had time for food photo’s but I always manage some of family fun time! I have to add, we may not have a great big pool, but my grandbabies and my kids sure do know how to have a good time with our little pool!
